The SCA Prayer

Thank you for each SCA moment;

for the blue sky moment,

the spreading green earth,

for the swelling crowd,

the rising tent,

the fire circle growing,

for my full heart

and the vibrant joy rising in me.

Thank you for the regal moment;

for the chivalrous moment,

the pageantry, the air of command,

for the strong decision,

the willful hope,

the grace and full reward,

for unexpected growing

and the truth now expanding in me.

Thank you for each bard moment;

for the twilight moment,

the pause, the good tired,

for the quite reflection,

the humorous song,

the adventurous tale,

for my contented heart

And wisdom growing inside of me.

Thank you for each battle moment;

for the high-noon moment,

the task, the slow preparation,

for the sweaty struggle,

the high risk challenge,

the drive to fair conquer,

for my fierce heart

and the courage gathering in me.

Thank you for each friendly moment;

for the shared moment,

the listening, the unguarded word,

for the gentile openness,

the ready smile,

the accepted difference,

for the passionate heart

and the firm trust finding root in me.
