Period

Material found here pertains to items suitable for use in the PERIOD category of a Bardic Competition, and should include submitable DOCUMENTATION (see below). However, suitable selections of general interest will be considered. Lack of DOCUMENTATION indicates it is not intended for Competition, but Author or Source should always be given.

STORIES - submitted prose for Bardic use, or general amusement.

POEMS - short, focused pieces that generally would not be considered prose.

SONGS - similar to POEMS, but lend themselves to singing.

	A Fair Wind

DOCUMENTATION - this should include:

Original conditions or setting under which written
Author, date and original language
Specific source; book, Webpage, etc.
Cultural considerations that could affect understanding
Explanation of period terms or word usage that differ from modern, common usage. This includes ALL foreign language terms
When appropriate, description of poetic form used

COPYRIGHT - all materials submitted for inclusion here grant automatic right for all members to use and selection for entertainment or teaching purposes, as long as proper credit is given. Any use for commercial or publishing purposes must receive specific written permission from the author. Out of courtesy, these materials should not be used in Bardic or other Competitions without notifying the author.
